# Postgale vs PostEverywhere

Vendor facts checked on 23 October 2026.

PostEverywhere is a social media scheduling tool for teams and their AI agents: a hosted MCP server with 44 tools, a REST API, CLI and SDK, 13 networks, AI captions and images, and plans from $9 a month. It has an approval queue as a workspace setting, but its homepage says posts made with an API key skip the approval step, and a key can approve posts through its API. Postgale applies approval to the agent itself: a person sets it per workspace, account, key or app, the agent’s key cannot approve, and comment replies and DMs wait in the same queue. PostEverywhere covers more networks and publishes lower prices.

## What is the difference between Postgale and PostEverywhere?

Postgale is the secure layer for AI agents on social media. Agents publish through its REST API and MCP server; a person decides where approval applies, and every write is recorded in an audit log.

PostEverywhere calls itself “a social media scheduling tool for teams and their AI agents”. Agents use a hosted MCP server, a REST API with scoped keys, a CLI or a Node SDK; people use a calendar, posting queues, campaigns and an AI studio for captions, images and short videos. Every plan includes the API, MCP server, CLI and webhooks.

## Does PostEverywhere’s approval queue apply to AI agents?

Not by default. PostEverywhere’s approval is a per-workspace setting, “Require approval”, off by default: members submit posts and owners or admins approve them in the dashboard, and an approval authorizes one publish of the approved version. Its homepage also says “Posts made with an API key skip the approval step.” An agent can ask for review with `request_approval: true` on a draft, and its API has `POST /posts/{id}/approve`; its docs describe a key approving as “an admin approving by proxy”.

In Postgale the setting applies to the key or signed-in app the agent uses, so the agent cannot opt out; the approve endpoint refuses API keys and the MCP server has no approve tool.

## Postgale vs PostEverywhere side by side

> As of October 2026. PostEverywhere facts come only from PostEverywhere’s own pages, linked under Sources.

| | Postgale | PostEverywhere |
| --- | --- | --- |
| MCP server | Hosted at postgale.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP); 70 tools, each annotated as read-only, write or destructive | Hosted at mcp.posteverywhere.ai with 44 tools (43 in Claude’s connector directory, 34 in the ChatGPT app); an MIT-licensed npm package to run it locally |
| Agent authentication | OAuth 2.1 sign-in, so ChatGPT, claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code connect with the URL alone; or an API key as a bearer header (n8n, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, your own agent). Sign-in tokens work on the MCP server only; the REST API uses API keys | API key as a bearer token, with `read`, `write` and `ai` scopes and optional limits to specific accounts; OAuth for claude.ai custom connectors, which creates a revocable key |
| Platforms | Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, TikTok, Bluesky and Mastodon; WhatsApp Business messaging. X, Telegram and Discord are coming soon, as are Reddit and ads | Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, X, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Discord, Telegram, WordPress and Google Business Profile |
| Comments and DMs | Comments on Instagram, Facebook and Threads (reply, hide, delete); DMs on Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp, with messaging-window checks | Not described on the pages checked; its API reference has no comment or message endpoints |
| Human approval | Set by a person in the dashboard per workspace, account, API key or signed-in app. Posts wait as pending approval; comment replies and moderation, DMs, WhatsApp sends and edits to live posts are queued for a person. Approving is dashboard-only: the key the agent holds cannot approve its own work | Workspace setting, off by default; members’ posts wait for an owner or admin; posts made with an API key skip it; keys can approve through the API |
| Logs and webhooks | Every write through the API or MCP is recorded in the workspace audit log with the key or app that made it; webhooks signed with HMAC-SHA256 | A log of every API key and MCP call with request and response, kept 30 days, no export; 13 webhook events signed with HMAC-SHA256 |
| Team roles | Workspace members approve in the dashboard; API keys are created per workspace and can be revoked | Owner, Admin and Member; only owners and admins create API keys and connect accounts |
| Pricing | Not published yet (early access; write to manu@postgale.com) | Lite $9/month (2 accounts), Starter $19 (5), Growth $29 (10), Scale $39 (20); no free plan; 7-day trial |

## When should you pick PostEverywhere, and when Postgale?

Pick PostEverywhere if you want a low-cost scheduler that people and agents share: LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Pinterest, Discord, Telegram, WordPress and Google Business Profile, best-time scheduling, campaigns, AI captions and images, and an approval queue for teammates, from $9 a month.

Pick Postgale if the agent itself is the user: if a person, not the agent, must decide what needs approval and the agent cannot switch it off; if replies, comment moderation and direct messages should wait in the same queue as posts; and if you want an audit log of every agent action from day one. Postgale also lets the agent answer comments and direct messages on Instagram, Facebook, Threads and WhatsApp under the same rules.

## How was this comparison made?

Every statement about the other product comes from that vendor’s own public pages as they read in October 2026 (checked on 23 October 2026), linked at the end of the page. Where those pages do not say something, this page does not guess. Statements about Postgale come from its source code and documentation. ## Questions

### Is Postgale a PostEverywhere alternative?

For agents that must work under human approval on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, WhatsApp, Bluesky and Mastodon, yes. PostEverywhere covers more networks and is cheaper to start; Postgale holds the agent’s own posts, replies and DMs for approval and keeps an audit log.

### Do PostEverywhere approvals apply to API keys?

Its homepage says posts made with an API key skip the approval step. An agent can request review on a draft, and a key can approve through the API, which its docs call an admin approving by proxy.

### Do both have an MCP server?

Yes. PostEverywhere’s has 44 tools with an API key or claude.ai OAuth. Postgale’s has 70 annotated tools with OAuth sign-in for any client or an API key.

### Which is cheaper?

PostEverywhere publishes plans from $9 a month. Postgale has not published prices yet; ask manu@postgale.com.
