Discord for AI agents is coming soon

Not yet. Discord is coming soon to Postgale: Discord channels cannot be connected today, so an agent cannot post to Discord through Postgale yet. The plan is to let an agent post messages with attachments and rich embeds to a channel through a channel webhook, and edit or delete what it posted. Today an agent can publish on Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, TikTok, Bluesky and Mastodon, and answer customers on WhatsApp Business; X, Telegram and Discord are coming soon.

Coming soon

Can an AI agent post to Discord through Postgale?

Postgale is the secure layer for AI agents on social media. This page covers Discord: where Discord support stands, what is planned and what to use in the meantime.

Not yet. Discord is coming soon. Until it is live, Dashboard → Accounts shows Discord as “Coming soon” and a channel cannot be connected, so no agent can post to Discord through Postgale. X, Telegram and Discord are all coming soon.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets AI assistants such as Claude and Cursor use outside tools. An MCP server is what they connect to. Postgale hosts one and a REST API, so ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, n8n or your own agent can already use the platforms that are live.

What is planned for Discord?

The plan is a channel webhook that a server admin creates by authorizing Postgale on Discord’s own screen (no bot joins the server, no token to keep), with the same approval, audit log and revocable access as the other platforms. Details may change before launch:

TaskWhat is planned
PublishText up to 2000 characters, up to 10 attachments and up to 10 rich embeds (title, description, fields, images, colors); a custom name and avatar per message; silent delivery; scheduling.
EditChange the text of a message it posted.
DeleteRemove a message it posted.

Which Discord rules will Postgale enforce?

  • Text will be limited to 2000 characters, embeds to Discord’s field limits and 6000 characters in all; a post over a limit will be refused before it reaches Discord.
  • Files will be uploaded within Discord’s default limits: 10 MB per file, 10 files per message.
  • @everyone and @here will not ping unless the post asks for it explicitly.
  • A webhook can only post, edit and delete its own messages: it cannot read messages, reply in threads, react or read analytics.

What can I use today instead?

An agent can publish today on Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, TikTok, Bluesky and Mastodon, and answer customers on WhatsApp Business. X, Telegram and Discord are coming soon.

Nothing has to go out unreviewed. Approval can be required per workspace, per connected account, per API key or per signed-in app; while it applies, posts wait as pending approval in the dashboard, and replies, direct messages and edits to live posts are refused. Every write the agent makes is kept in the audit log.
