Telegram for AI agents is coming soon

Not yet. Telegram is coming soon to Postgale: Telegram channels and groups cannot be connected today, so an agent cannot post to Telegram through Postgale yet. The plan is to let an agent publish text, photos, videos, documents and albums to channels and groups through Postgale’s bot, and edit or delete what it posted. Today an agent can publish on Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, TikTok, Bluesky and Mastodon, and answer customers on WhatsApp Business; X, Telegram and Discord are coming soon.

Coming soon

Can an AI agent post to Telegram through Postgale?

Postgale is the secure layer for AI agents on social media. This page covers Telegram: where Telegram support stands, what is planned and what to use in the meantime.

Not yet. Telegram is coming soon. Until it is live, Dashboard → Accounts shows Telegram as “Coming soon” and a channel or group cannot be connected, so no agent can post to Telegram through Postgale. X, Telegram and Discord are all coming soon.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets AI assistants such as Claude and Cursor use outside tools. An MCP server is what they connect to. Postgale hosts one and a REST API, so ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, n8n or your own agent can already use the platforms that are live.

What is planned for Telegram?

The plan is the official Telegram Bot API, with one Postgale bot for every workspace (no bot to create, no token to keep) and the same approval, audit log and revocable access as the other platforms. Details may change before launch:

TaskWhat is planned
PublishText up to 4096 characters, one photo, video or document, or an album of 2 to 10 items with a caption; MarkdownV2 or HTML formatting; silent delivery; scheduling.
EditChange the text of a message or the caption of a media post or album.
DeleteRemove a message, or every message of an album.
MetricsThe chat’s member count as an account metric. Telegram gives bots no per-post views.

Connecting is planned to work with a one-time code: a chat admin adds Postgale’s bot as an admin with the right to post and sends the code in the chat.

Which Telegram rules will Postgale enforce?

  • Text will be limited to 4096 characters and captions to 1024, counted after formatting markup; a longer post will be refused before it reaches Telegram.
  • Albums will have 2 to 10 items, and documents will not share an album with photos or videos.
  • Files will be uploaded by Postgale within Telegram’s bot limits: 10 MB per photo, 50 MB per video or document.
  • Telegram itself does not let bots post to personal chats, read per-post views or delete messages older than 48 hours.

What can I use today instead?

An agent can publish today on Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, TikTok, Bluesky and Mastodon, and answer customers on WhatsApp Business. X, Telegram and Discord are coming soon.

Nothing has to go out unreviewed. Approval can be required per workspace, per connected account, per API key or per signed-in app; while it applies, posts wait as pending approval in the dashboard, and replies, direct messages and edits to live posts are refused. Every write the agent makes is kept in the audit log.
