Postgale vs Zernio
Zernio is a broad, usage-priced API: social accounts, ads, blogs, messaging, phone numbers, SMS and calls, with the first two connected accounts free. Since 22 October 2026 it also has post approvals: a post created with requiresApproval waits as pending_approval until it is approved or rejected through its review endpoint. Postgale is narrower and built around control of the agent: a person sets approval in the dashboard per workspace, account, key or app, replies and DMs wait in the same queue as posts, approving cannot be done with the agent’s key, and every write is in the audit log.
What is the difference between Postgale and Zernio?
Postgale is the secure layer for AI agents on social media. Agents publish through its REST API and MCP server; a person decides where approval applies, and every write is recorded in an audit log.
Zernio describes itself on its pricing page as one platform for social accounts, blogs, ads, phone numbers, calls, SMS, RCS, WhatsApp and iMessage, billed per connected account with every feature included. Its site lists an MCP server and agent pages for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes and others.
Does Zernio have post approvals now?
Yes. Zernio’s changelog entry of 22 October 2026 adds an approval workflow for posts: create or update a post with requiresApproval: true and it is saved as pending_approval instead of being scheduled or published. POST /v1/posts/{postId}/review with decision: approve schedules it for its scheduledFor time (and fires post.scheduled); reject returns it to draft. GET /v1/posts?status=pending_approval lists the waiting posts.
How the two approaches differ, going only by what each side documents:
- Who turns it on. In Zernio’s changelog, approval is a field on the post request. In Postgale it is a setting a person makes in the dashboard for the workspace, an account, an API key or a signed-in app; the agent cannot leave it out of a request.
- Who approves. Zernio documents review as an API call. Postgale’s approve and reject endpoints refuse API keys (403) and there is no approve tool on the MCP server; a workspace member approves, edits or rejects in Dashboard → Approvals.
- What waits. Zernio’s entry covers posts. In Postgale, comment replies and moderation, direct messages, WhatsApp sends and edits to live posts are queued the same way; ad changes are refused while approval applies.
Postgale vs Zernio side by side
As of October 2026. Zernio facts come only from Zernio’s own pages, linked under Sources.
| Postgale | Zernio | |
|---|---|---|
| MCP server | Hosted at postgale.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP); 70 tools, each annotated as read-only, write or destructive | An MCP server is listed on its site; details are in its docs |
| Agent clients | OAuth 2.1 sign-in, so ChatGPT, claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code connect with the URL alone; or an API key as a bearer header (n8n, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, your own agent). Sign-in tokens work on the MCP server only; the REST API uses API keys | Agent pages for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenAI dots, Meta Muse, OpenClaw, Grok bot and Hermes |
| Platforms | Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, TikTok, Bluesky and Mastodon; WhatsApp Business messaging. X, Telegram and Discord are coming soon, as are Reddit and ads | X, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, Reddit, Pinterest, Bluesky, Snapchat and Google Business; WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack and iMessage; ads on several networks; WordPress, Shopify, Wix and Webflow blogs; phone numbers, SMS and calls |
| Comments and DMs | Comments on Instagram, Facebook and Threads (reply, hide, delete); DMs on Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp, with messaging-window checks | Read and send DMs (first 10,000 sent a month free, then metered); reply to comments and manage reviews |
| Human approval | Set by a person in the dashboard per workspace, account, API key or signed-in app. Posts wait as pending approval; comment replies and moderation, DMs, WhatsApp sends and edits to live posts are queued for a person. Approving is dashboard-only: the key the agent holds cannot approve its own work | Since 22 October 2026: requiresApproval: true on a post holds it as pending_approval; approve or reject with POST /v1/posts/{postId}/review |
| Audit log and webhooks | Every write through the API or MCP is recorded in the workspace audit log with the key or app that made it; webhooks signed with HMAC-SHA256 | Webhooks for post status, messages and comments; audit logs, SAML SSO, SCIM and RBAC listed under Enterprise |
| Hosting | Hosted service at postgale.com | Hosted service |
| Pricing | Not published yet (early access; write to [email protected]) | Per connected account per month: accounts 1–2 free, 3–10 $6 each, 11–100 $3 each, 101+ $1 each; X API calls passed through at X’s rates; Enterprise past 2,000 accounts |
When should you pick Zernio, and when Postgale?
Pick Zernio if you need breadth: LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business, ads across several networks, blogs, phone numbers, SMS or calls in one API, or X today. Also if you want to start free and pay per account, or if approving posts through the API from your own product is what you want.
Pick Postgale if the agent itself is the user: if a person, not the agent, must decide what needs approval and the agent cannot switch it off; if replies, comment moderation and direct messages should wait in the same queue as posts; and if you want an audit log of every agent action from day one.
How was this comparison made?
Every statement about the other product comes from that vendor’s own public pages as they read in October 2026 (checked on 22 October 2026), linked at the end of the page. Where those pages do not say something, this page does not guess. Statements about Postgale come from its source code and documentation. Prices and limits change; check the vendor’s page before deciding.
Common questions
For agents working on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, WhatsApp, Bluesky and Mastodon, yes. Zernio covers far more platforms and channels; Postgale focuses on approval set by people, a review queue for replies and DMs as well as posts, and an audit log.
Yes, since 22 October 2026: a post created with requiresApproval: true waits as pending_approval until it is approved or rejected with POST /v1/posts/{postId}/review, according to Zernio’s changelog.
A person sets it in the dashboard per workspace, account, API key or signed-in app, so the agent cannot skip it; replies, comment moderation, DMs, WhatsApp sends and edits to live posts wait in the same queue; and approving is only possible in the dashboard, not with the agent’s key.
